PhD scholarships in Smart Materials for Innovative Heating/Cooling and Indoor Air Quality Management, DTU, Denmark

 

The Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for 1-2 fully funded PhD scholarships in the field of indoor environment and energy. The PhD scholarships are available from Spring 2025.

 

Research topics:

The PhD candidate will work in the EU Horizon and IEA Annex 92 projects focusing on the multidisciplinary studies of using novel smart materials to develop ground-breaking heating/cooling and IAQ control strategies.

 

Qualifications:

Applicant must hold a master's degree in mechanical, architectural, thermal, civil, or material engineering or a related field. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic for research. Preferred candidates will have skills in adsorption heating/cooling, air purification, energy simulation, etc.

 

Terms of employment:

Duration: 3 years (starting Spring 2025)

Salary: begins around 36,000 DKK/month (~ 37,000 RMB/month)
