Advanced Building Physics
Within advanced building physics we employ and develop models for airborne coupled heat and moisture transfer in building constructions and the interplay with indoor and outdoor environment to conduct unified hygrothermal analysis of buildings as a whole. We are aiming at securing energy efficient buildings, which are comfortable, healthy and durable.
Current research topics:
-
Heat, Air and Moisture transfer in buildings and its influence on indoor environmental quality
-
Building envelope research in conjunction with building renovation and green building design.
-
Moisture buffering and its impact on building energy consumption.
-
Hygrothermal performance of novel green building materials.
